Biography

A native of Alberta, Canada, Don earned his B.A. in economics and B.Ed. in secondary social studies and psychology; he later obtained his Canadian Securities Certificate and studied international finance, trade, and marketing. One of his companies, Verigon Canada Ltd., builds alliance and partnerships with and on behalf of indigenous people by creating paths for training and employment into established businesses. Diduck launched Alberta by Design in 2015, an effort to create a preferred socioeconomic future for Alberta. He is a specialist in emission reduction strategies and compliance with regulatory regimes across several sectors gained through his work as the founder of a carbon offset company, Environmental Compliance Inc. which provides a speciality service in aggregating and selling carbon offsets in the energy efficiency market. It was the first company in the world to originate and develop carbon offsets in over 400 commercial and institutional buildings. His most recent focus is on emission reduction technoplogies in oil & gas,using big data captures and analytics to measure and verify GHG emission reductions. He has chaired and served on numerous provincial boards and panels over the years. Don is based in Edmonton where he serves on the Board of the Alberta Council of Technologies and is a member of the Alberta Creativity Network.
